Julia Naomi Blue is the Founder of Blue Jay Strategies LLC, a political and philanthropic consulting firm. Adept at relationship-building and strategic fundraising development and execution, she has a proven track record of delivering results and maximizing impact in the public and private sector. Over the last 15 years, Julia has helped raise nearly $900M for historic campaigns and meaningful causes that have changed the world.
Julia began her fundraising career as a finance assistant at the Democratic National Committee and soon became the Illinois Deputy Finance Director. In 2011, she joined Obama for America as the NY-Tristate Deputy Finance Director. After the campaign, Julia took a hiatus from politics and joined the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA®) as Director of Philanthropy, Eastern Region, where she focused on securing 6 to 7 figure gifts to support initiatives like the partnership with the Food Bank of New York City, the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center (Asheville) and the Animal Care Center (Miami). In 2019, Julia returned to politics as Vice President of Development and Finance for the The Good Land Committee - also known as the Milwaukee 2020 Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention.
In January 2020, Julia launched Blue Jay Strategies LLC. Since then, the firm's client roster has included state and federal officials, 501(c)3, 501(c)4, super Pacs, and a variety of non-profit organizations.
Julia holds a B.A. in Political Science from Howard University.
